Haverhill – Devanah Leonie Walker, 23, passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident in Methuen May 5, 2019.
Born in Landover, Maryland, she was the daughter of Donovan and Marie (Timothee) Walker of Haverhill. Raised and educated in Springdale, Maryland she was a graduate of Charles Herbert Flowers High School, Class of 2013. She was a part time student at Northern Essex Community College while working at Market Basket in Haverhill. Devanah enjoyed the beach, watching movies and hanging out with her sister. She was outgoing and made friends easily. Devanah was a kind, sweet girl with a gentle spirit. She loved spending time with her family and they will miss her dearly.
In addition to her loving parents, Devanah is survived by her sister Genelle Walker of Haverhill; her brother Jeremiah Milien of Lawrence; uncle Jean Pierre Timothee, Jr. of Fitchburg; aunts Stephanie Renerd of LA and Marie Peggy Lewis of FL; her grandparents, Jean Pierre and Leonie Timothee of Haverhill; and several cousins and many friends.

The scriptures remind us that: ” time and unexpected events ” befall us all . [Ecclesiastes 9: 11]I am sure you would like to have spent one more day together. This day is coming soon as our loving heavenly father, Jehovah, promises:” And God himself will wipe every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”[ Revelation 21:3,4]
Our tears of sadness will be replaced by tears of joy as we embrace our loved ones once again.
Jesus taught us to pray for that wonderful future hope at Matthew 6: 9, 10, known to many as the Lords prayer: “You must pray, then, this way:“‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth”.
May these beautiful scriptures give you comfort now and hope for the future.
