Stephen Bradley West September 12, 1948 - May 6, 2019

Stephen “Bradley” West, 70, passed away May 6, 2019 at his home.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Robert E. and JoAnn R. (Milnes) West. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1966. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving for three tours of duty during the Vietnam War and receiving a Purple Heart. Brad was the Head Grounds Keeper for many years at the Merrimack Valley Golf Course. He was a business partner for 20 years with Brian Brooks in the hair replacement industry, Bobkin Incorporated out of Boston. An avid deep sea fisherman, he spent many winters in Costa Rica, enjoying nature and the outdoors. Brad loved helping people anyway he could. Known for his sarcastic wit and unique humor, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Brad is survived by his sisters, Sandra Simmons of Haverhill; Deborah Church and her husband James of Kingston, NH; brother Scott West and his wife Renee of Kingston, NH; several nieces and nephews; two special friends, Frank Ryan and George Katter. He was predeceased by his sister Nancy West, brother Richard West and niece Katie West.

 

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, May 13 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his name to the National Wildlife Federation, Operations Center, P.O.
