Benjamin C. Carey April 24, 1990 - August 28, 2019

Haverhill – Benjamin C. Carey, 29, passed away August 28, 2019 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport with his loving family by his side.

Born in Lima, Peru, he was the son of Kathleen M. Harber of Haverhill and the late Beth A. Carey. He attended St. Joseph’s Grammar School and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 2008. Benjamin attended Porter and Chester Tech Institute. He was employed for the past 4 years at Circle K Gas in Amesbury as Manager. Benjamin was a big New England Patriots Fan and an avid video gamer. A devoted father to his son Joshua, he was loyal and dependable to both his family and friends. Known for his great sense of humor, Benjamin will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Benjamin is survived by his son Joshua C. Carey of Haverhill; his mother, Kathleen M. Harber of Haverhill; his sister, Joanna R. Carey of Newburyport; his aunt, Norma Carey and her husband William of Braintree; cousins, Elizabeth and William Manning of Braintree, Melissa Thomson of Haverhill and Ann Thomson and her husband Robert Ahern; and several loving cousins and extended family.

Family and friends are respectfully invited calling hours on Thursday, September 12 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Joshua C. Carey, C/O Norma R. Carey, 113 Hayward Street, Braintree, MA 02184.     I love and miss you very much!

    So greatful you got to spend your time with Joshie…and that we had time to get to know you as an adult All grown up with your little guy…..

    Your son looks just like you and has so many of your manorisims…. I promise you we will all try across all families to look out for Joshie…..and we have all worked as a team for his best interest….

    I know you are looking out for Joshie, Joanna, and Anya…I promise you we will all look after them…and do the best we can to support them….and the family….as a team….
