To Kevin, Tim, Kerri, and Dan Archambault —

My heart aches for you on the loss of you wife, mother, and sister. 50 Years old is way to young to be exiting this world. I will always remember Jolene as one of the most pleasant people I have ever met on the face of this earth.

Having been through what you are going through I offer you the attached piece of prose that came to my family from a Catholic Priest during a similar time in our lives. We read it over and over and over. This piece of prose did a lot to help us get through that week, and the tough times we went through in subsequent years. My hope is that it can do the same for you and your family. — Ellery

Please accept these Sincere Condolences from the Willett Family (Salem, NH), and know that we are thinking of you all.–

    NOTHING — By Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Nothing can make up for the
absence of someone we love —
    And it would be wrong
to try to find a substitute —
    We must simply hold out
    and see it through —

That sounds very hard at first
    but at the same time
it is a great consolation —
For the gap – as long as
    it remains unfilled –
preserves the bond between us —

It is nonsense to say that
    God fills the gap —
God does not fill it —
    But on the contrary
    keeps it empty
and so helps us to keep alive
    our former communion
    with each other
even at the cost of pain —

    – Dietrich Bonhoeffer

To Kevin, Kerri, Tim, Dan and all the Archambault family,
Just wanted you to know we love you all very much and are so sorry for your loss. Jolene was way too young and way too special to be taken from us so soon. Her loss will be felt for a very long time.
Please know we will always be here for you and if any one needs anything don’t hesitate to reach out.
