Stuart James Graves July 12, 1966 - May 27, 2020

Amesbury – Stuart James Graves, 53, passed away May 27, 2020 at his home in Amesbury.
Born in Leicester, England, he was the son of James Graves of England and the late Brenda (Batty) Graves. Raised and educated in England, he attended Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth College. Stuart loved all sports, but his greatest love was Premier League Football (soccer) and his home team, Leicester City. Stuart loved to travel around the world, experience different cultures and meet new people. Wherever he went, he made fast friends with nearly everyone he met. He had an incredible sense of humor and was always available to help anyone in need. Stuart became a United States Citizen in 2015 and was proud of that achievement. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his father James Graves, Stuart is survived by his daughter, Holly Stell and her partner Jake Philps of Broughton Astley, England; his stepson, Noah Garcia of Marlborough; and his former wife, Alyson Fredette of Marlborough.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5 at Winnekenni Park, 347 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill at 11:00AM. We are limited to pandemic protocol. Due to Covid restrictions, in-person funeral services will be limited to family-only.

    Words can’t express how sad everyone feels about hearing of Stu’s passing. He was a terrific person and a very good friend. We started out as co-workers over 10 years ago and became great friends. Everyone who met Stu liked him, he was so friendly and very much a gentleman. He would help anyone in need.
    This world won’t be the same without you in it!!!

    I am shocked and saddened to hear that Stu has passed away. I didn’t know him very well, I worked with him (WWTS) for over a year, he was pleasant and helpful, he got me a new floor pad, so my chair could roll smoothly and not get stuck in a hole! He secured my wall from wobbling, and balanced my drawer so it would stay closed. He will be missed, I will think of him fondly with a smile! My condolences to his family.

    Very very old friend from when our father’s had shops near to each other. I remember a handsome talented intelligent man with a heart of gold. Concerts party’s and fun is how I will remember you. Saddened

    It is with great sadness that I write this. Stu was a co worker and friend. I know everyone can say they had many good laughs with him. Stu you will be missed by so many people! My thoughts are with all of his family and friends at this time.

    I am so sorry to hear of Stu’s passing. I remember when I first started at WWTS 5 years ago, I met him when we had a celebration for his becoming a US Citizen. He was so happy about that. Stu was such a great friendly guy who would do anything for anyone, often fixing all the little things that we would complain about. He also loved to cook and would often share his recipes with me. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. RIP Stu.

    Oh Stu, you are missed. We had many laughs over the last 10 years. I felt honored that when I brought you the Sporting keychain from Lisbon you taped the Sporting bag to your whiteboard where it remained. You always made me laugh. Mr. Pessimist while I was determined to be Ms. Optimist. It was a running joke between us. God speed my friend. I pray you’re at peace.

    I was very saddened to hear of Stuart’s passing. I work for WWTS in Ireland and when I visited the Tewkesbury office, he would drive me to the airport in the van. He loved to travel and was very excited about his trip to Prague. He also liked Crunchie’s (UK chocolate) and I always brought him some from Ireland as a treat. He said the chocolate wasn’t the same!. Ever a gentleman and he will be missed. Rest in peace.

    Met Stu in 94? and became fast friends straight away. We were both born and grew up 20 miles apart in England and met in cambridge MA at a coffee shop- both English guys abroad working for diff moving Cos
    we’d see each other every morning until i pursuaded him to join Nicks Moving years later. Who’s going to give me shit when Arsenal lose now stu? I love you and I miss you- i’ll never be able to watch a game again without thinking about you and how much we laughed together
