John E. Duggan February 8, 1929 - July 6, 2020

Bradford – John E. Duggan, 91, husband of the late Jeanne L. (Levasseur) Duggan, passed away July 6, 2020 at his home in Bradford.

Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Connors) Duggan. Raised and educated in Lawrence, he was a graduate of Lawrence High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country with honor in WWII and the Korean War, serving on four destroyers. Upon his return from the Navy, he began his career in Quality Assurance with the former Western Electric and AT &T, then with Lucent Technologies. Jack spent many years working there until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Crescent Yacht Club and the Bradford Swim Club. Jack was a handyman and was often seen at both clubs, and his own home, painting and working on various projects. He liked to listen to music in his yard, was known for his quick wit, and loved to joke around. Jack was a very social man who met with friends once a month at the mall and every Tuesday at the Yacht Club. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, his family was everything to him and he cherished his time with them. Jack will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Jack is survived by his children, David J. Duggan and his wife Debra of Portsmouth, RI; Lisa A. Guerin and her husband John of Bradford; Susan M. Lanza and her husband Donald of Hampstead, NH; five grandchildren, Steven Lanza, Rachel Lanza, Dr. Daniel Duggan, Rebecca Duggan and Elaina MacLean; four great grandchildren, Jameson P. MacLean, Malea Duggan, Duke Duggan and Paisley MacLean. In addition to his loving wife Jeanne, he was predeceased by his sister, Geraldine Bean.
