Sandy A. (Melrose) Pestana March 15, 1950 - December 26, 2020

Haverhill – Sandy Pestana, 70, passed away December 26, 2020 at her home.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Benson) Melrose. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in Scotland. She came to the United States in the 1960’s. Sandy was a cosmetologist working in the beauty industry. An actress, singer and dancer, she was also fluent in American Sign Language. A collector of Asian art, she traveled the world with her family, mother and son Justin. Known for her extreme generosity, upbeat attitude and forgiving heart, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sandy is survived by her children, Mark Pestana and Allisha Zabelski of Danvers; Ethan Campbell and his wife Serena of Melbourne, FL; Justin Pestana of Haverhill and Bethany Pestana of Haverhill; a brother, Alec Melrose and his wife Elizabeth of Muir of ord, Scotland; a sister, Linda Delgado and her husband Carlos of Malden; her grandchildren, Odin Pestana and Atlas Pestana; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private to family only due to Covid19 restrictions and will be held on Saturday, January 2 at 12:00 Noon at the First Assembly of God Church, 30 Tyler Prentice Avenue, Worcester.
