Dorothy R. (Wilhoite) Crowe April 29, 1941 - December 28, 2020

North Ft. Myers, FLDorothy R. (Wilhoite) Crowe, 79, formerly of Haverhill, wife of the late Robert J. Crowe, passed away at Cape Coral Hospital in Cape Coral, Florida on Monday, December 28, 2020.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Rita (Noe) Downs and Ernest W. Wilhoite.  Dottie was a stay-at-home mom while her children were young and later worked for Coppola Bus Company.  She went back to school to become a Certified Medical Assistant, and was employed by Dr. Dibble’s Family Medical Practice in Kingston, NH where she worked for several years until her retirement.

Dottie enjoyed her winters in Florida and eventually called her house at Lake Fairways, “her home”.   She liked spending quality time with her sisters and cruising the park in her golf cart to visit friends. Dottie enjoyed sewing and crafting and readily volunteered to make projects for others.   Dottie also volunteered her time with the F.I.S.H. Program (Friends in Serving Humanity) where she brought others to appointments or to the grocery store.  She would pick up medications or food for those in need and deliver it directly to them.  One of Dottie’s greatest joys was having friends and family come stay with her.  Everyone always knew that they were welcome!

Dorothy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered  by her five children, Robert P. Crowe of Apopka, FL and his wife, Cathy of Hamden, CT; Kevin Crowe and his wife, Lori of Fort Myers, FL;  Patricia Cronin and her husband, Carlton; Jacqueline Brent and her husband, Joseph; and Dorothy “Dodi” Crowe, all from Haverhill. Eleven grandchildren, Kyle, Casey, Brian, Kenlie and Derek Crowe; C.J. (his wife, Kelly), Connor and Molly Cronin; Nolan, Erin and Joe Brent and one great-granddaughter, Elora Cronin.  Four sisters, Barbara Martin, Marie Dwyer, Maryellen Holderbaum and Betty Flueckiger, also survive her.   She leaves several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. We would like to give special thanks to two of our uncles who have been instrumental in assisting Dottie to live independently- Jack Martin and John Dwyer.

Funeral services will be held at a later time.  Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.  Please visit Comeau Funeral Home on Facebook or www.comeaufuneral.com
