Salisbury – Joyce Ann (Charbonneau) Gauthier, 73, wife of the late, Raymond H. Gauthier, who died in 2006, formerly of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, December 23 at the D’Youville Life and Wellness Center in Lowell surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Gauthier was born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late, Raymond H. and Eleanor B. (Powers) Charbonneau. Raised and educated in Winchendon, MA, she was a Graduate of Murdock High School Class of 1967. Joyce continued her education at Mt. Wachusett Community College where she earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. For over twenty years, Joyce was a Home Daycare Provider and for more than twenty-five years, she was Foster Parent to 200 plus children.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and foster mother, Joyce dedicated her life to the health and welfare of children in need. She also raised her own family of whom she is survived by: her two sons, Raymond J. Gauthier and Jacob R. Gauthier, both of Salisbury; her daughters, Sr. Holly M. Gauthier, p.m., of Plaistow, NH, Melissa A. Gauthier of Methuen, Shelly A. Gauthier of Amesbury, Stacy A. Gauthier of Lancaster, NH, and Tracy A. Gauthier of Gardner; cherished grandchildren, Emily N. Gauthier, Raymond J. Gauthier Jr., Ava Sheridan, Maison Carter Gauthier and Alyson N. Bolger; a brother, Raymond P. Gauthier and his wife Karen Charbonneau of Williston, FL; and a sister, Angela Powell of Lynn. She was predeceased by her son, Justin W. Gauthier.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to calling hours on Wednesday, December 29, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home at 486 Main St. in Haverhill, MA. Funeral services will begin on Thursday morning at 9:00 from the Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:00 AM at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, at 8 Atkinson Depot Rd., in Plaistow, NH.
