Kittery, ME – Roger E. Wilkins, 65, husband of Patricia (Byers) Wilkins, passed away March 6, 2022 in Farmington, ME.
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Earle C. and Lettitia E. (Warburton) Wilkins. Educated in Haverhill, he attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1974. A United States Navy Veteran, Roger served his country from 1975 until being honorably discharged in 1977.
Roger was employed as a machinist for many years at Sweet Heart Plastics in Wilmington. Roger was a lifetime member of the D.A.V. He loved cruising around in his car and sampling all the local restaurants. Roger loved to take walks on the beach. A farmer at heart, he was always tinkering in the barn. He enjoyed raising his goats, chickens and geese in the Rocks Village section of Haverhill, where he was raised. Known for his great sense of humor he enjoyed pulling pranks on people and would do whatever it took to make someone smile and get a laugh. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, “PeePaw” who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife Patricia, Roger is survived by his children, Lucas S. Wilkins and Jacob A. Wilkins both of Haverhill; Autumn L. Wilkins and her partner Jared Eaton of Haverhill and Katrina K. Wilkins and her fiancé` Dwaine Vosburgh of Salem, NH; Tricia Labelle of Portsmouth, NH; sister, Donna E. Ringenwald and her husband Thomas of Amherst, NH; four grandchildren, Riley P. Adams, Gabriel Jenness, Daniel Labelle and Dallas Page. He was predeceased by his brother Paul Wilkins.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, March 10 from 4:00PM until 6:30PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill.
