Francis Albert Quintiliani, 89 June 10, 1933 - July 15, 2022

Haverhill- Francis Albert Quintiliani, 89, passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston surrounded by his family. He had been residing at  Benchmark Senior Living at Haverhill Crossings. For over fifty years he resided at his home on Main St.

Born in Strasbourg France on June 10, 1933, the son of Carlo Quintiliani and Pasqualina (Colletti) of San Donato Val Di Commino, Provigna Frozinone Italy.

In 1943 Frank began working as an apprentice tailor with his father at 10 years old continuing to work until the last week of his life at 89 years old. Frank said his goal was to work until he is 90 and then go part-time.

In 1955 Frank and Anthony were adopted by his Uncle Gennaro and Mary Quintiliani and immigrated to America. He proudly served in the US Army as a medic during the Korean War.

For many years he was a foreman at The Grecco Brother’s suit factory in Lawrence, MA where they made men’s suits for Brooks Brothers, Ralph Lauren and other fine men’s clothing.

Since 1961 Frank also owned Quintiliani Quality Tailor Shop opening first on Bailey Blvd in downtown Haverhill then moving to the family home at Main Street, Haverhill.  Frank took great pride in his work as a tailor.  He loved to make people look and feel good. Frank worked tirelessly as a single father to support his family. Working two jobs until his retirement at age 67 and then continued with the tailor shop even after he moved into Benchmark Senior Living at Haverhill Crossings.

Frank loved to golf at Garrison Golf Course claiming to have had a hole-in-one on every hole except the 8th.  He was honored in 2014 by the Order Sons of Italy in America as the oldest member at age 81 of the Sons of Italy Drum and Bugle Corp to march in all the major feasts in the North End of Boston.

Frank cherished his friends and family. Never missing a 45’s tournament or a poker game or the opportunity to feed everyone he loved his famous pasta sauce. On August 13, 1999 Frank met Maryann Vaillancourt.  They quickly became a loving couple traveling the world together and enjoying their relationship until her passing on January 1, 2022.

Surviving family members include; his sister Maria, his twin brother Anthony in Boca Raton, Florida, his brother Danny in Strasbourg France, four son’s Carl, Paul, John, and Frank and his wife Lisa (Paley);  His grandchildren Adriana and her husband Nick Painten, Anthony, Sarah, Joshua, Kaden, Luchia, Lea, Lila, and Talia; and his great grandchild Autumn. He married Margaret Chaput in 1960, having a family of four boys. He was predeceased by brother Donato, sisters Loretta, younger sister Anna, and Liliane.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours on Thursday July 21, 2022 at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main St. Haverhill from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will begin on Friday morning at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrated at 10:00 AM at All Saints Church 120 Bellevue Ave Haverhill.
