Haverhill – John Linwood Banks, Jr., 43, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away Thursday, December 29 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Juann (Pica) and John L. Banks Sr.. He attended Haverhill public schools and was a Graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1997. He was employed as a bus driver for the Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authority now known as MEVA for several years.

John was a very caring, loving person with a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. He cherished his children and his family and friends. Any excuse to get the family together would make for a friendly game of 45’s. He enjoyed listening to music, watching movies and playing video games. He was the “Grill Master” as he did a great BBQ. He was a sports fan, especially the Patriots and Red Sox.

John leaves his mother, Juann (Pica) Hennessey, of Methuen, his father John L. Banks Sr. and his wife, Marian, of Methuen, a son, Tyler P. Banks and a daughter, Nevaeh G. Banks, both of Haverhill. He also leaves two brothers, Jayson A. Pica, of Lawrence and Kyle J. Banks, of Portland, ME; sisters, Keri Paro and her husband Steven, of Haverhill, Renee M. Hennessey, of Haverhill and Nicole E. George and her husband Tony, of Sunapee, NH and several loving nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly.
