Date of Funeral

January 13, 2025

HAVERHILL – Albert Coco, 93, husband of Priscilla H. (Clevesy) Coco, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 5 at his home in Haverhill.

Albert was born, raised, and educated in Methuen, MA, the son of Salvatore and Marita (LaRosa) Coco, and the youngest of eleven children growing up in “The Valley”. Al eventually worked for many years for the City of Haverhill’s Water Department until his retirement.

Albert and his wife Priscilla shared a blessed life together and with their family during their 70 year marriage. As active members of First Baptist Church in Haverhill, they were devoted to their church community and established many close friendships over the years. They also loved traveling and explored several destinations such as the Berkshires, California, Grand Canyon, Alaskan cruises, and two trips to Italy. With their family they enjoyed time at Ossipee Lake and camping at the Eastern Slope Camping Area in the White Mountains.

Al spent much of his time outdoors and through the seasons he could be found taking care of his pristine yard and gardens and finding shade under his canopied swing. He loved taking his family out on the water in his boat, the Debra Jan I.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting with friends, and his family cherishes his stories that he often shared about those adventures. He enjoyed handcrafting projects, and over the course of his life he built custom wooden toys, cabinetry, furniture and much more. His humorous and humble spirit and bright smile brought light to those around him. Al was devoted to his family, enjoyed his friendships, and will be deeply missed.

Albert is survived by his beloved wife Priscilla H. (Clevesy) Coco, of Haverhill, MA, his son David A. Coco of Methuen, MA, his daughter Janice L. Goldstein and her husband Mark of Wappingers Falls, NY, and his son-in-law Charles M. Vlahos of Haverhill, MA. He leaves behind seven grandchildren William Vlahos and his wife Story, Daniel Vlahos and his wife Meredeth, Gregory Vlahos and his wife Jacqueline, Jeffrey Vlahos, Brian Triolo and his wife Kelly, Sasha Goldstein-Martin and her husband Anthony, and Nicole Goldstein, eight great grandchildren Evelyn, Miles, Cassandra, Corinne, Ashlene, Raegan, Myles, and Mackenzie and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Debra E. Vlahos and his ten siblings Santo, John, Alfred, Josephine, Sarah, Horace, Anthony, Carmine, Joseph and Samuel.
