METHUEN – Lina M. Hall passed away peacefully on January 28th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
Born in Gardner, Massachusetts, Lina was the daughter of the late Albert and Madeline Erickson. As a young woman, Lina attended Fisher Jr. College and worked at Foleyhoag in Boston as a legal assistant. Lina married her lifetime love of 60 years, the late Frederick Hall, they met on the train into Boston, and it was love at first sight. Lina and Fred settled in Wayland Massachusetts and started their family. Lina enjoyed; she loved playing softball and bridge. She loved country music, dancing, puzzles, flowers, and her Boston sport teams, especially Tom Brady! She enjoyed watching the kids skate on their homemade rink in the back yard! She loved watching the birds and cuddling with her cat Ooley. Lina and Fred loved going to Ogunquit Maine and vacationing there with their kids in the summer. They loved to ballroom dance, enjoyed being with family, and playing trivia on Sundays with family. Lina devoted her life to her children.
Lina is survived by her children, David Hall and wife Carole, of South Carolina, John Hall and his wife Wendy, from Haverhill, Massachusetts, Tom Hall and his wife Lynne of Ogunquit, Maine, Karen Durant and her fiancé Matt McDonald, of Derry New Hampshire, Eric Paul is her 4th son! Lina is survived by brothers Donald Erickson of Nashua, Fred Erickson and his wife Jill of South Carolina. She was predeceased by the late Ronald Erickson, Judy Robertson, and Bill Stierli. Lina was devoted to her beloved grandchildren, Randy Durant, of New Hampshire, Adam Hall, of New Hampshire, Danielle Hall and finance Bryan Smith of Newton, Alex Hall, of New Hampshire, Brianna Hogan and her husband Brian, of Beverly and Shannon Whittemore and partner James of Lawrence. Lina will be missed by all; we were blessed to have her in our lives.
