Plaistow, NH – Kenneth E. Roberts, 69, beloved husband of Mary F. (Steer) Roberts passed away April 12, 2017 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Hartford, CT he was the son of the late Albert and Arlene (Freeman) Roberts.

He was raised and educated in West Hartford, CT and was a graduate of Conard High School, Class of 1965. He went on to attend Union College in Schenectady, NY and graduated with a degree in electrical engineering and economics. Kenneth spent his career as a software engineer with Lucent Technologies and retired in 2008. With his wife Mary, Kenneth wintered in North Ft. Myers, FL. He also enjoyed hiking, walking and spending time with family at the family lake house in Moultonborough, NH. Kenneth liked to work on home improvement projects. He also enjoyed playing cards, games and was an avid reader. He was a devoted family man who loved to spend time with his cherished grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.


In addition to his loving wife Mary, he is survived by his children, Jennifer Rebecca Roberts of Sandown, NH; Bonnie Kathleen Bacon and her husband Brian of Epping, NH; Mary’s children, Suzanne Hughes and her husband John of Danville, NH; Joseph Bouvier and Jennifer Walch of Swampscott; Renee` Dickerman and her husband Arthur of Webster, NH; his grandchildren, Hannah Reynolds, Julia Reynolds, Kaitlyn Reynolds, Justin Bacon, Brooke Bacon, Miles Bouvier, Drea Bertolino, Olivia Hughes, Sarah Hughes, Elizabeth Hughes; three brothers,; Donald Roberts and his wife Judy of Granby, CT; Russell Roberts and Betsy Fulton of Dallas, PA;  and a niece and nephew. He was predeceased by his brother Phillip Roberts.


Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, April 29 from 2:00PM until 5:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill, MA.
