Dennis Charles Bradley passed away peacefully after a brief battle of cancer on April 19, 2017, in Ormond Beach, Florida at age 74.

Dennis was born on May 1, 1942 in Haverhill, MA to Rita (Rogers) Bradley and Charles Bradley. He attended Haverhill Trade School.  Dennis worked as a steel worker, and then at the Haverhill Boxboard, and later went on to manage to the family business, The Currier Tavern.

Dennis was a social, active man who was a Keystone Kop in the Haverhill Christmas parades. He was involved in Haverhill Rod and Gun Club, and he frequented the Haverhill Yacht Club and Smitty’s Tavern.  In Florida, he was a member of the American Legion Post 270, American Legion Post 361, and the AMVETS 911.  For a period of time, he was the Chaplin at American Legion Post 361.  He frequented the Bella Nova Lounge, Victory Lane and Marsh and Al’s.

He enjoyed fishing, boating, and motorcycles. His family and friends will always remember him as a person who really enjoyed life.  As Dennis said, “I have had the best 74 years of life of anyone I know!”

Dennis is survived by his son, Michael Bradley of Atkinson, NH; his daughter, Robin Dwyer of Bradford, MA; his daughter, Kimberly Vaillant of Newton, NH and his sister Sherrill Gariepy of Groveland, MA. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Bradley of Kingston, NH; by his father Paul Either of Haverhill, MA and by his mother Rita Either of Haverhill, MA.

Celebrations of Dennis’s life are scheduled in Massachusetts at The Crescent Yacht Club at 30 Ferry Street, Haverhill, MA 01835 on Saturday, April 29th at 2:00 and in Florida at the American Legion Walt Zack Memorial Post 270 at119 Howes Street, Port Orange, FL 32127 on Sunday, April 30th at noon.  All are welcome to attend either of these events to celebrate Dennis’s life.
