Haverhill – Steven J. Doherty, 58, passed away June 19, 2017 at the Oxford Nursing Home in Haverhill surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Boston, he was the son of Patricia M. (Moore) Parlee and the late John L. Doherty. With his mother, he was raised by his stepfather, Frederick Parlee and was educated in the Billerica School system, he was a graduate of Billerica High School, Class of 1976. He was a self- employed contractor in the truck driving industry and worked for various construction companies in the Merrimack Valley area. Steven had a contagious personality and smile. He lived by his own rules, never letting his lifelong illness stop him from doing what he wanted to accomplish. Steven enjoyed being at home and spending time with his family.

 

In addition to his loving mother and father he is survived by his companion of over 17 years, Robin L. Howard of Haverhill; her children; Jessica Silva, and her husband, Joseph, of Haverhill, Jay Loycano, of Haverhill, and Anthony Loycano and his wife, Ashley, of Salem, NH, his cherished grandchildren; Haillie, Ryley, Giana, Ayva, and Jacoby, his siblings; Sonny Doherty and his wife Sinead of Glendale, AZ; Diane M. Wentzell and her husband Clayton of Wilmington; Donna Flaven and her husband Gary of Nashua, NH; David Doherty and his wife Maryanne of Glendale, AZ; Lisa Carr and her husband Peter of Tyngsboro; Keith Parlee of Billerica; William Doherty of Glendale, AZ; Ricky Parlee of Lowell; and Mark Parlee of FL, and several nieces and nephews including his goddaughter Sharleen Gilbert.

 

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, June 23 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
