HAMPSTEAD, NH – Adam J. Cassell, 40, of Hampstead, NH passed away on Tuesday, December 5 at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH.

Adam was born on May 20, 1983 to Kenneth P. and Gail L. (Horn) Cassell.  Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 2001. Adam was an avid cook, especially great at breakfast and a grill master; he most recently worked as a cook for the Toss and Sauce Pizzeria in Hampstead, NH.  Adam had a great sense of humor and was known for being compassionate, kind, generous and loyal.  He played baseball and football, practiced karate, and was a member of the Ridge Runners Club of Haverhill. Adam loved fishing, his dogs, Zeke and Shine, and will be remembered dearly as a loving partner and son.

Adam is survived by his loving partner of 10 years Erin M. Brunquell, of Hampstead, and his parents Kenneth P. and Gail L. (Horn) Cassell, of Bradford. He also leaves behind his brother Kenneth P. “KC” Cassell, Jr., of Bradford, grandparents Donald E. and Mary (Boots) Horn, of Lancaster, PA, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

    Our hearts ache…as parents…….Adam was like a brother to Evan. The emptiness everyone feels will hopefully fill with the good memories….the good times…..I will always remember his bright smile.

    Ken, I am so sorry for your family’s loss. You have no idea how many times I have shared the story of Adam during the inaugural Haverhill Tide water Derby. I think of him often, since my son and I still share memories on the mighty Merrimack. Blessings to all.

    Sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of having Adam as a student at HHS and at HHS NIght School. I will never forget him bringing me in food from the pizza shop he worked at. RIP ADAM!!!!

    I knew Adam’s mother from our education at the York Suburban School District in the 1960s and 1970s. I am so sorry to hear of Adam’s death. From the obituary it sounds like a wonderful person. My deepest condolences for his loss, especially to Gail.
