Haverhill – Adella (Yurcikonis) DiZazzo, 90, wife of the late Guido DiZazzo, passed away December 22, 2021 at Lawrence General Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born in Ansonia, CT, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Bernotis) Yurcikonis. Raised in Lawrence, she was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Adella was the owner of Interior Expressions on Washington St. in Haverhill for many years. She was also the manager of Hampshire Printed Fabrics and Lawrence. Family was her most precious gift. She was the matriarch of the family and she loved spending the holidays and time with all her grandchildren. Adella enjoyed going to Foxwoods and Mohigan Sun with her partner Joseph Catalano. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
Adella is survived by her children Michael Dizazzo and his partner Karen Consoli of Haverhill; Christine Yazbek and her husband Steven of Lawrence; her grandchildren, Steven, Mikey and Ashley, Chloe and Shauna and her husband Joel; great grandchildren Marella, Neveah and Prince; and her partner Joseph Catalano. In addition to her husband Guido she was predeceased by her brother Joseph Yurcikonis and sister Bertha Volungus.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, December 28 at 11:00AM in St. Lucy’s Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Immaculate Cemetery, Barker St., Lawrence. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to St. Jude’s Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
