KINGSTON, NH – Aiden J. Roche, 20, formerly of Kensington, NH, son of James and Laura (Patten) Roche of Kingston, NH passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, surrounded by family and close friends at Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA.  Aiden leaves numerous other friends and family members who mourn his sudden passing.

Aiden was born on September 18, 2004, in Boston.  He attended Kensington Elementary School, Cooperative Middle School and graduated from Exeter High School in 2023.  He was currently attending the University of New Hampshire studying Finance.

Born with a congenital heart condition, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, Aiden faced many struggles in his early life.  As he grew older, he placed a lot of importance on his health doing everything he could to live a long and healthy life.   One of his main passions was working out and keeping his body strong.  In addition to weightlifting, he enjoyed playing Xbox with friends, movies, photography, Legos, and Japanese culture.  He was an active member of UNH’s Film and Photography clubs.  He leaves his family with numerous memories of growing up traveling, skiing, and golfing together.

He had an unwavering gentle, kind, and thoughtful demeanor.  Words cannot express the legacy he leaves and how he touched those who were lucky enough to know him.

Aiden is survived by his parents James W. and Laura (Patten) Roche, and his twin brother Colin W. Roche of Kingston, NH.  He is also survived by his grandfather John R. “Dick” Roche of Groveland, his Aunt Pamela Patten and partner Michael Proulx of Hampton, NH, uncles Michael E Roche of Flagstaff, AZ, Daniel J. Roche of Salem, NH, John P “Jack” Roche of Atkinson, NH and Kevin J. Roche of Groveland, MA.  He also leaves cousins James Tirone of Haverhill, MA, Monica Roche of Georgetown, MA, Tori (Roche) and husband Michael Falite of Salisbury, MA and Haley Blaisdell and Conor Blaisdell of Hampton, NH.  Aiden was predeceased by his grandmother Esther (Blaisdell) Roche, his grandparents Richard “Dain” and Maureen (Brady) Patten and his uncle Brian R. Roche.

    Aiden was a kind young man with a good heart. He was an active member in our film club who brought positive energy and kindness to everyone around him. His presence will be missed by everyone in our club that knew him, especially those to had the pleasure of working with him.
