Haverhill – Alfred E. Phaneuf, Jr., of Haverhill, died on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the Wingate nursing home in Haverhill.
Alfred was born in Haverhill on April 12, 1933 and was the son of the late Alfred E. and Irene (Record) Phaneuf.
Alfred was raised in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill high school. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Korea. He was an owner and operator of Richer’s Foodliner until 1996. He later went on to be a real estate agent for King Davis Real Estate for many years and later an independent contractor for Caldwell Banker before his retirement in 2008. He was a staff member of Lone Tree Council and an active member of many community organizations. He was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, fishing, taking cruises, and vacations to the islands.
Alfred was the loving father of Kevin A. Phaneuf and his fiance Noreen of Bradford, Robin A. Cavallaro and her fiance Richard R. Rizzotti. He was the sister of Marie Merrill of Haverhill. He was the cherished grandfather of Joseph Cavallaro and his wife Kimberly, Jeffrey Cavallaro, Kaitlyn Cavallaro McHenry, Kristin Cavallaro Castro, Jeanne Phaneuf, Sasha Phaneuf, Kelsa Phaneuf York and her husband Thomas, Kyle Phaneuf and his wife Diana. He was the great-grandfather of Jared Cavallaro, Kallie McHenry, Jackson McHenry, Jacob Ramos, Kaylin Castro, Jade Castro, Boston Homer, Spencer Cate, Sean Adler, Mason Adler, Mike Anderson, Jace Anderson, Brooklyn York, Thomas York, Marek Phaneuf. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Jacquelyn J. (Terroux) Phanuef and his brother Lou Phaneuf.
