Arthur R. St. Cyr October 22, 1940 - May 18, 2020

Haverhill – Arthur R. St. Cyr, 79, husband of Helen R. (Dusombre) St. Cyr, passed away May 18, 2020 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Joseph St. Cyr and Alina (Fournier) St. Cyr. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he attended Haverhill Trade School. He was employed as an assembler in the defense industry for many years. Arthur enjoyed bowling and with his wife Helen belonged to the Pilgrim Lanes Bowling League in Haverhill. They loved to travel and play the casinos, travelling to Hawaii, Niagra Falls and Las Vegas. With his family, he camped in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Lovingly known as “TV Ike”, he loved to watch TV game shows and the 60’s series Star Trek. Arthur also enjoyed sitting in his yard listening to the radio, playing cards and cribbage. When playing games with his family the joke around the table was everyone else was cheating but him. Arthur had a great sense of humor, a quick dry wit and was a quiet family man. He adored his thirteen grandchildren and lovingly called them all by the name of “Sam”. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he will be missed by all his family and many friends.

In addition to his loving wife Helen, Arthur is survived by his children, Lynda J. Hartford and her husband Arthur of Haverhill; Arthur R. St. Cyr Jr. and his wife Heather of Haverhill; Karen L. Cloutier and her husband Clifford of Auburn, NH; Paula J. LaGrasse and her husband David of Salem, NH; Joseph O. St. Cyr and his wife Patricia of Salem, NH; brother, Richard St. Cyr; sister, Theresa Campbell; grandchildren, Amy Plaza and her husband Manny, Justin Hartford and his wife Catie, Jason Hartford and his wife Tiffany, Adam St. Cyr and his wife Genevieve; Alyssa and Aaron St. Cyr, Nathan Cloutier, Brandon, Bradley and Sarah LaGrasse, Cameron, Curtis and Caitlyn St. Cyr; great grandchildren, Jacob and Lucas Waites, Jason Hartford, Jr., Alivia Yaratz and Madeline St. Cyr. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Frank and Robert St. Cyr, and sisters Yvonne St. Cyr, Rita Robertson, Adele Tragiou, Marie Lowther and Phyllis Royce.
