Merrimac – Barbara M. (Eaton) HIssey, 93, wife of the late Daniel HIssey, passed away November 10, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Seabrook, NH, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Janvrin) Eaton. Raised and educated in Newburyport, she was a graduate of Newburyport High School, Class of 1945. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed raising her family with her husband Daniel in Newburyport. She lived in Newburyport for 18 years before moving to West Newbury in 1972, then moved to Merrimac in 2003. She was a snowbird with her husband, traveling to St. Petersburg, Florida every winter. Barbara enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barbara is survived by her children, Timothy Garwich of Newburyport; Daniel Hissey, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Joplin, MO; Diane Kizirian and her husband Donald of Newton, NH; granddaughter Angela Kizirian; nieces Lisa and Terry. In addition to her husband Daniel, she is predeceased by her sister, Ruby Burns, and brothers Warren and Cliffton Eaton.
