Haverhill – Carol E. (Danis) Silvio, 84, wife of the late John A Silvio, passed away July 21, 2019 at Baker Katz Nursing Home with her loving family by her side.
Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Oliver J. and Bernice M. (Hanson) Danis. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1952. For many years, Carol was a volunteer at the former Hale Hospital Coffee Shop in Haverhill. She loved bowling was a member of St. Joseph’s Bowling League. A woman of strong faith, she was vigilant with her nightly prayers. Carol enjoyed spending time with her sisters, with whom she was very close, and they travelled together. One of their favorite trips was to Amish Country and the surrounding area. She loved her family and while her children were growing up she had an “open door” policy at her home, welcoming everyone. Carol will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carol is survived by her children, Deborah A. Silvio of Haverhill; John R. Silvio and his wife Gina of Haverhill; Mark A. Silvio of Newburyport; five grandchildren, John D. Silvio, Melissa A. Barnes, James D. Silvio, Jason Rogers and Erika Richardson; two great grandchildren, Jackson Rogers and Talon Richardson; her brother in law, Ralph Barnes of Haverhill; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband John, she was predeceased by her son, David A. Silvio, her siblings, Robert Danis, Rhoda Hammond, Oliver Danis, Nellie Galli, Elizabeth Barnes and Dorothy Simpson.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, July 25 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 26 at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill.
