Haverhill–Charles E. “Buddy” Krafton, 84, of Haverhill, died on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at the Merrimack Valley Holy Family Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was born in Haverhill on June 8, 1938 and was the son of the late Konstanty and Michelina (Giardini) Krafton.

Charles was raised in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1957. He worked as a plumber, most recently at Powerhouse Plumbing & Heating, and a building superintendent at the Judson House. He enjoyed entertaining at his home and was a gifted pianist and musician travelling with his band “The Versatiles” for many years. Buddy was an avid sportsman who loved all types of fishing ice, deep sea, and fly fishing for which he made his own lures. He loved playing cards, traveling with his wife, and visiting her family in Michigan.

Charles was the beloved husband of the late Kathryn (Kavanaugh) Krafton. He leaves behind his sister Kathleen M. O’Day of Haverhill; three nieces, Michelina Molongoski and her husband Michael Molongoski of Tyngsboro, Anna Dickey and her husband Scott Dickey of Winthrop, NY, Laura O’Day and her partner Keith Morris of Haverhill; nephew, Thomas O’Day of Haverhill; two great-nephews, Joshua Klufts of Derry, NH, and Benjamin Molongoski of Tyngsboro; two great-nieces, Morgan Dickey of Derry, NH, and Riley Molongoski of Tyngsboro; three sisters-in-law, Cynthia Prevo of Ossineke, MI, Karalyn Kavanaugh of Burlington, KY, and Patricia Masson of Nanaimo, BC, Canada; and brother-in-law, Edward Kavanaugh of Port St. Joe, FL.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, January 12th from 4:30 until 7:30PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00AM in St. James Church, Winter St., Haverhill. A spring burial is planned in the Lithuanian Cemetery, Montvale St., Bradford.
