Clifton J. “Cliff” “Jay” Perkins, 60, husband of Linda (Dondero) Perkins, passed away February 14, 2022 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

Born in Haverhill, son of the late Lee R. and Evelyn M. (Kristiansen) Perkins. He attended Whittier Vocational High School and was a graduate in the Class of 1979. Cliff and Linda were married on August 2, 1997 and would have celebrated 25 years of marriage in August. He was a brilliant fabricator, working for Porter Brothers Blacksmith, Foss Manufacturing, Haverhill Steel and Salvage and he owned CMC Welding. He was a blacksmith, welder, mechanic and all around fix it guy. Cliff loved to cut wood, fish and watch his Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He was a devoted husband father and brother who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his loving wife Linda, he is survived by his children, Rebecca L. Brown of Bradford, Jason T. Brown and his fiancé` Jennifer Barnhart of Attleboro and Lori Reardon of Bradford; brothers Patrick Perkins and his wife Peggy of Derry, NH and Lee R. Perkins Jr. of Hampton, NH; brothers in law, Thomas A Dondero, Richard M. Dondero, David C. Dondero and Paul A. Dondero and his wife Margaret; sisters in law Joyce L. Donovan and her husband Neil of Londonderry and Christine M. Cianfrocca of Beverly; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Wendy Beam, mother and father in law Thomas L. and Barbara Dondero and sister in law Leslie Dondero.

A one-time scholarship has been established in honor and achievements of Clifton J. Perkins with the cooperation of Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School in the Field of Metal Welding and Fabrication for a student graduating in the class of 2022 in the amount of $2500.  The scholarship will be awarded based on the students’ achievements and plans to pursue a career in the arena of metal welding and fabrications.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, February 17 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill. Funeral services will be on Friday morning at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Salem St., Haverhill.
