Coleman H. Lee, Jr., 93, husband of the late Mary M. (Ferrick) Lee, passed away January 19, 2018 at Wingate Nursing Home with his loving family by his side.
Born in North Andover, he was the son of the late Coleman H. Lee, Sr. and Ethel (Currier) Lee. He attended Essex Agricultural School in Danvers, graduating in the Class of 1944. Coleman served his country with honor during World War II in the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Teton. Coleman ran his own dairy farm, Meadow Farm, in South Groveland for many years. He was a Custodian at Pentucket High School as well as a school bus driver. Coleman served on the Groveland Fire Department, was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was an assistant Scout Master and was a member of the 4-H Club. Coleman was a member of the Groveland Congregational Church. He enjoyed playing many games of golf with his neighbor Norman Baker. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Coleman is survived by his children, David W. Lee and his wife Patricia (Foss) of North Hampton, NH; Donald C. Lee and his wife Diane (Hoffman) of Haverhill; Douglas E. Lee and his wife Linda (Picard) of Hopkinton; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Lee, Krista Lee-Tysen, Nathan Lee, Bryan Lee, Samantha Lee, Veronica Lee, Alexandra Lee; and his great grandchildren Penelope Lee, Miles Lee, Dawson Pearl Tysen; brothers in law, Walter Connor of Horsesheads, NY; Richard Ferrick of Groveland; numerous nieces and nephews; and his devoted neighbors William and Wendy Tocci. In addition to his loving wife Mary, he is predeceased by his sister Evelyn Connor, brothers in law Edward Ferrick, William Ferrick, Jr. and John Ferrick.
