Delphine M. (Towne) Comeau, 63 July 12, 1959 - January 23, 2023

Delphine M. (Towne) Comeau, 63 of Ipswich, passed away on Monday, January 23 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington MA.

Duffy, as she was better known, was born in Haverhill on July 12, 1959, and was the daughter of Stephen Rich and the late Jeanne (Bracci) Rich.

Duffy was raised in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1977 and later a graduate of the University of Lowell, class of 1981, where she earned a degree in accounting. Upon graduation she earned her CPA license and worked at BME Engineering in Georgetown MA, then later at Jet Engine Technologies in Danvers MA as a CPA and office manager.

Duffy, alongside her mother, was an avid crafter who enjoyed rug hooking, knitting, and needlepoint. She enjoyed cooking, traveling to Europe, and cruising.  She was also an avid golfer and skier. She loved spending time with family and had a wonderful sense of humor, and her musical tastes were eclectic. Her beloved dog, and constant companion Harry was everything to her.

She is survived by siblings, Sara LeBlanc of Salisbury MA, Gerald Towne of Salem NH, William Towne of Ipswich MA, and her father Stephen Rich of Hilton Head Island SC.  She is also survived by her nephew Andrew Muse and niece Lindsay Reichlen and grand-nephew Jacob Reichlen. She is predeceased by her beloved mother Jeanne Rich and older brother Edward Towne.
