HAVERHILL, MA – Dona A. (Bailey) Eaton, 79, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, at Hannah Duston Health Care Center in Haverhill, MA.
Dona was born on December 19, 1943 in Haverhill, MA to Charles D. and Crete (Kinney) Bailey. She attended Haverhill schools, graduated from Haverhill High School in 1961, and attended Junior college in Andover. Dona was a devoted, hard working, single mother. She cherished her grandchildren and supported her family in many ways. She was known to tell it like it was and didn’t mince words. Dona was tough on the outside, but had a heart of gold. She loved playing 45’s and Bingo, doing crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy. The family would like to thank the staff at Hannah Duston Health Care Center for all their love and support with a special thanks to Jennell.
Dona is survived by her children Priscilla Gabriel-Mack and husband Thomas, Spring, TX, and Matthew Eaton and wife Kristie, Groveland, MA; brother Victor Bailey and wife Jennifer, Bridgewater, MA; grandchildren Ian Gabriel, Alex Gabriel, Emily Eaton, Ashlinn Eaton and Matthew Eaton, Jr.; nieces Kendra Issa, Michelle Eckstrand, and nephew Charles “Chip” Bailey, and her best friends Cindy Cobbett and Laura Laing and her two favorite girls Neveah Pitcher and Lindsey Fitzpatrick.
Dona is predeceased by brothers Charles “Biff: Bailey and David Bailey and a sister Cynthia Jean Boyd.
