Donald E. Weeks April 28, 1935 - August 27, 2020

Groveland – Donald E. Weeks, 85, husband of Loretta A. (Mahoney) Weeks, passed away August 27, 2020 at Country Center for Health and Rehab in Newburyport.

Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Stanton and Ada (Edwards) Weeks. A graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1953, he enlisted in the United States Navy shortly after and served his country honorably in the Seabees. Donald obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern University in Business Administration after many nights of study. He was employed for over 34 years as a Human Resource Director at the Interstate Container Company in Lowell. Donald loved sports, following all the Boston sports teams. He coached Groveland Youth Baseball and Basketball for many years and was a beloved coach by all. Donald was a family man who was a devoted husband and father. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Loretta A. (Mahoney) Weeks; his sons, Donald M. Weeks of Ohio and David B. Weeks of Groveland; a sister, Karen Hamilton of Clinton; and two nieces, Janice Kuczwara of Leominster and Donna Traylor of Clinton.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, August 31 from 10:00AM until 12:00 Noon at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
