HAVERHILL – Edward R. McNeil, 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11 at his home.
Edward was born in Haverhill, the son of Richard L. and Alice M. (White) McNeil. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1972. Edward work for many years locally as a roofer for J & R Gutters. He was a hard worker with an easy going, laid back personality. Edward will be dearly missed by his long time friend Gloria Abbott and will be remembered as a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his children Martin E. McNeil and his partner Skye Hendricks of Holiday, FL, Edward R. McNeil, Jr. and his partner Janet Fuller of Haverhill, Lisa McNeil of NH, Mary Ann Abbott of Haverhill. He also leaves behind his siblings James McNeil, Brian McNeil, Frank McNeil, William McNeil, Dennis McNeil, Thomas McNeil, Sr., Michael McNeil, Robert McNeil, Joyce A. Heisler, Denise Zielinski, Richard McNeil, Scott McNeil, Rebecca Ball and Karen Dichard; his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by his wife Hope (Prescott) McNeil.
