Eleni P. (Tzortzis) Georgakopoulos January 4, 1935 - July 22, 2019

Derry, NH – Eleni P. (Tzortzis) Georgakopoulos, 86, wife of the late Panagiotis Georgakopoulos, passed away July 22, 2019 at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill with her loving family by her side.

Born in Gerakas, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Ioannis and Panagiota (Kritikos) Tzortzis. With her husband and two sons, she came to the United States and settled in Haverhill in 1976. Eleni worked as a seamstress for many years, at Samuel Roberts in Haverhill and Ralph Lauren in Lawrence. Family was very important to her and she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Eleni is survived by her sons, Ioannis Georgakopoulos and his wife Jeanne Carroll of Derry, NH; Dimitrios Georgakopoulos of Haverhill; her brother, Dimitrios Tzortzis and his wife Kanella of Bradford; her sisters, Stavroula Kritikos of Haverhill; Georgia Lafkas and her husband Antonios of Sydney, Australia; Anna Kapeleris of Sydney, Australia; three grandchildren, Panagiotis, Elias and Eleni Georgakopoulos; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 1:00PM on Friday, July 26 in St. Peter and St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church, Winter Street, Haverhill.
