Haverhill- Eric Robert Brolin, 29, beloved son of Judy M. (Grady) and Robert E. Brolin, died May 26, 2022 from injuries sustained in a tragic motor accident.
Born in Boston and raised in Haverhill, he was a 2010 graduate of Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School. He loved living at Salisbury Beach and being close to the ocean brought him great joy. A caring and compassionate person by nature, Eric’s love of animals, especially dogs, led him to his career as a caretaker at Stand by Me Doggie Day Care in Salisbury. Customers and co-workers alike would speak at length about the unconditional love that Eric had for the dogs in his care and in return, for the love the dogs had for him.
Eric was a man of many passions; he was a proud Boston sports fan and particularly loved his six time World Champion New England Patriots. Whether it was near or far he loved to travel; always exploring new areas, trying new foods, and making new friends. Aside from his family, friends, and animals; music was Eric’s greatest love. A self taught guitar player, he appreciated all types of music but most especially rock and roll. An avid collector of vinyl records, his idea of a perfect day would be one spent digging through endless crates of albums in search of that elusive disc that he had sought for so long. Anyone who had the pleasure to know Eric, be it for a day or a lifetime, will remember him as friendly, generous, and kind hearted person.
He is survived by his parents Judy M. (Grady) and Robert E. Brolin of Haverhill; his brother Michael P. Brolin of Middleborough; his brother Robert E. Brolin, Jr. of Long Beach, CA; as well as his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; all of whom loved him very much.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Malcolm and Pauline Brolin; and Walter and Isabelle Grady.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend services on Friday June 3, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main Street Haverhill, MA 01830. A funeral service will be held at noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Linwood cemetery, Mill St. Haverhill.
