HAVERHILL – Fortunato “Reno” Calabro, 76, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
Born in Rio di Pusteria, Italy to Nicola and Giuseppina (DiBella) Calabro on April 18, 1947, Reno migrated to the US when he was 18 years old.
Reno was a true “renaissance man”, always exploring new ventures and hobbies. He could often be found at Dolce Freddo having his morning cappuccino, in his garden tending to his plants, or baking a new dessert. He had a wonderful love for nature.
Reno was married to his late wife Joanne (Santoro) Calabro for 36 years before her passing. He is survived by his life partner Catherine Mannheimer, who brought much love and joy to his life. He is also survived by his children Marco and wife Nancy Calabro, Merrimac, Sabrina Calabro, Merrimac, and Monica and her husband Brian Desmarais, Haverhill, and his grandchildren Brian Jr., and Jovan.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Wednesday, May 10, at All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill.
