Genoves “Geno” Santiago, Sr., 82 February 26, 1942 - January 2, 2025

HAVERHILL – Genoves “Geno” Santiago, Sr., 82 of Haverhill, passed away on January 2, 2025.

Born on February 26, 1942 in Yauco, PR, he was the son of Ramon and Eleuteria (Figueroa) Santiago. He was raised and educated in Yauco, Puerto Rico and then worked here at Honeywell as an Assembler for over 25 years. After his retirement Geno worked for the Haverhill School Department and Central Supply. He enjoyed playing 45s, dominoes and watching baseball. Geno also had a strong for animals.

Geno is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carmen. E. (Pellot) Santiago of Haverhill, his children Elizabeth Ryan and her husband John Ryan of Haverhill, Genoves “Tito” Santiago Jr. and his partner Sherri Phinney of Haverhill, Elaine Melanson and her husband Charles Melanson of Tyngsboro, Marilyn Santiago and her partner Jose Gaetano of Haverhill. He also leaves behind his siblings Eva Laureano, Ada Santiago, Milton Santiago, and Cain Santiago all of Yauco, PR and Adan Santiago of Newark, NJ; grandchildren Jordan Santiago, Markis Santiago, Jonah Kaplan-Santiago, Charles Melanson, Victoria Gonzalez, Angelise Melanson, Mattea Dore and Sophia Ryan; and great grandchildren Savannah, Landon, Mirai, Jozen and Kora. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Amanda E. Rodriguez and siblings Alicia Santiago, Carmen Santiago, Gladys Santiago and Cielo Santiago.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, January 13th from 4PM until 7PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 14th at 10AM at All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Ave, Haverhill. Burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, N. Broadway, Haverhill.
