Haverhill – Gerald B. Gifford, 69, of Methuen, formerly of Haverhill passed away January 9, 2019 at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill with his loving family by his side.
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late William M. and Ruth C. (Witham) Gifford. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1967. Gerald was a printer by trade for over 35 years before receiving his Certified Nursing Assistant Degree in 2003, working at Merrimack Valley Hospital for over 14 years. As a child, he loved spending summers at his family’s Plum Island beach house. With his daughter, he enjoyed several day trips to Mohegan Sun. A devoted father, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gerald is survived by his daughter, Meghan M. Gifford and her fiancé` Michael D. Testa of Methuen; his brother, Glenn A. Gifford and his wife Margaret of Clearwater, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Leeland C. Gifford and William M. Gifford.
