PEABODY, MA – Helen Lillian (Currier) Parini passed away peacefully on May 10, 2023 at Care Dimensions Hospice House after a short, yet courageous battle against cancer.

Born on January 4, 1949 to the late Albert Currier and Velma Corrigan, Helen is survived by her only child and loving daughter, Lori Guernelli Page and her estranged husband Dean J. Page of Haverhill, MA, her step-daughter Alicia McCarthy and her husband Rob, her granddaughters Brooklyn Page and her fiancé Jonathan Hale, her granddaughter Bella Mae McCarthy, and a soon to be great grandson due in August, her brother Douglas Currier and his wife Paula of Peabody, MA her sisters Marion and her late husband Martin Delaney of Greene, NY, Sheryl Evans and her husband Michael of Smithville Flats, and her sister Tracy Currier of Saugus, MA  Helen also had a very special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews, friends, colleagues, her dog Skipper and grand dogs Diesel and Daisy Mae.

Helen loved life to the fullest and was able to strike up a conversation with anyone that crossed her path. It was her innate nature to help people she met in life that led her into a career in nursing.  Helen graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1966, and pursued her LPN and worked as an oncology nurse at NS Medical Group.  In 1989, Helen furthered her career and graduated with high honors from nursing school as a Registered Nurse at Northern Essex Community College in 1990.  She then began a 20+ year career at Beverly Hospital, lastly as Case Manager where she was well respected and admired by all her colleagues, retiring in 2014.  Helen had a passion for Boston Sports (GO SOX), sewing, crafting, spending time with family, traveling and taking road trips to NY to have “sister time”.  Helen inherited the enjoyment of playing the organ from her mother, and also the north shore love of lobster rolls, plates of fried clams and scallops, and good ol’ 3 way roast beef.  She will be truly missed by all who loved her deeply and had the pleasure of knowing her.

Rest in heavenly peace my beautiful sister,. I am trying to be strong but don’t know how I am going to get through this, honestly. I am heartbroken but comforted knowing you are no longer in pain. I will treasure our “sister’s weekend” a couple years ago always. As you said, “we will be together later” – until then, I will love and miss you every day. Forever in my heart.
