Haverhill – Irma M. Cuevas, 85, wife of the late Eladeo Rodriguez, passed away at home December 26, 2021 with her loving family by her side.
Born in Loiza, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Ismael Cuevas and Carmen Rivera. She was raised and educated in Puerto Rico and worked as a kitchen aide in the local school system. She also worked in the garment industry. In 2002 she moved to Lawrence and later in 2008 moved to Haverhill. Irma was the mom of the neighborhood, her house was the safe place for everyone. She loved helping people and was a deeply spiritual woman, strong in her faith and a Christian her entire life. Irma was involved in her church, the Assembly of God Church in Lawrence. Known as a great cook, it gave her much joy cooking for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her generous spirit and her love for her family.
Irma is survived by her children, Irma Rodriquez of Lawrence, Jose Rodriguez of Haverhill, Edgardo Rodriguez of Lawrence and Beatriz Resto of PA; six grandchildren, Asael, Elioenai, Irma Milagros, Raymond Isaac, Edwin Nemeuel, Luis Edgardo and Gia Neely; five great grandchildren, Asael, Elli, Eleiana Sky, Luna and Kris Milennys. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brother Jose Antonio Nieves.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, December 29 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the Assembly of God Church, 14 Vine St., Lawrence.
