Haverhill – Jacqueline I. (Bonenfant) Isabelle, 84, wife of the late Richard J. Isabelle, passed away October 24, 2021, at Penacook Place in Haverhill with her loving family by her side.

Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Eustache and Bernadette (Charest) Bonenfant. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School in Lawrence in the Class of 1953. Jackie, as she was called, was raised in the Sacred Heart Church Community in South Lawrence, active in CYO she was an accomplished tennis player and pianist. She was also a gifted singer with a perfect ear and starred in school plays where she met her husband Richard, both had an extraordinarily strong faith. She was a Marianist, a devout devotion to the Blessed Mother Mary and always referred to Mary when praying for anything including a super bowl or two. When her six children were school age, she obtained her degree as a medical assistant and worked for Holy Family Hospital in Methuen and later transcribing for private practices. She traveled with her husband to their cottage in Dennis port on Cape Cod and enjoyed sailing and being on the water. The beach was her happy place. Known for her quick wit and profound sense of humor she was a woman who was full of life. An incredible cook, she loved hosting all the holidays and having family and friends at her home, where everyone was welcome. A devoted wife, mother, memere, and great grandmother, Jackie will be genuinely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jacqueline is survived by her children, Stephen A. Isabelle and his wife Holly of Deerfield, NH; Roberta A. Brown; Marcy J. Murphy and her husband Robert A. of Haverhill; Cheryl A. Isabelle-Alper and her husband Allen of Bradford; Richard J. Isabelle, Jr. and his wife Annette of Pepperell; ten loved grandchildren, Bernadette A. DiVito, Kayla J. Dunham, Cheryl A. Cooper, Justin Isabelle, Matthew Alper, Adrianna Bilodeau, Lacey Isabelle, Chloe Isabelle-Alper, Julianne Isabelle and Joseph Isabelle; two great grandchildren, Evan J. Smith and Anna M. Dunham; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Richard, she was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa J. Isabelle and son in law Roger Brown; siblings, Claire Coyne, Arthur, Louis and Joseph Bonenfant, Marcelle Hamel, Patricia Gaudete, Theresa Bernard, and Cecile Desjardins.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, October 28 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Friday morning at 10:30AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30AM in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill.
