Haverhill – James Harold Allen, 59, passed away at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill after a long battle with an illness.
Born in Haverhill to the late Charles and Marie (Thibault) Allen, he was educated in Haverhill public schools before he embarked on his lifelong career as a painting contractor. A great lover of music and the outdoors, he could often be found strumming the guitar around the campfire. He was an avid fisherman and you can count yourself lucky if got to join him at one of his favorite fishing spots. Above all else, James loved his family.
He is survived by his children Sarah Comeau-Torres of Bradford and her husband Juan, Melissa Allen of Carroll, NH, James Allen of ME, Christopher Allen of ME, and Ariel Allen of ME; his sisters Pammy Lou Lemire of Methuen, Cheryl Jarzobski of Bradford and her husband Vinny, Jane Allen of Methuen, Joan Allen of Haverhill, and Betty Anderson of Sandown and her husband Paul; his brother Daniel Simmons of Barre, VT and his wife Joyce; his grandchildren Delailah, Veronica, Kendra, Isabel, and Quintin; many beloved cousins; and his dear friend Carol Royer.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Charles Allen and Chris Allen.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday June 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Church of Christ-Bradford 10 Church Street Bradford, MA 01835.
