I am so ashamed and mad at myself, Jeff was such a big part of our lives and my eldest sons life for so many years and we lost touch. I met him in 1989 when I moved into Laurel Ave where we lived for over a decade with us on the first floor and him on the third floor. He was tall, loud, and scary when we first met but he became such a big part of us, a family, he was opinionated, loved music, a Vietnam Vet, Harleys, collected everything you could imagine, his home was like a museum. He was finally able to buy his own home after living on Laurel Ave for decades. He loved my son and we loved him. He would watch wrestling with my son mind you Jason was 3 months old when he first met he grew up with his big uncle Jeff, Jeff saved his life not once but twice. He would write us letters about how much he cherished our friendship. He was apart of our holidays, our house parties, our lives. I am so sorry we lost touch to the fact that I stumbled across your obituary and I was not there to be able to say goodbye. I loved you very much you were a dear friend and I am so sorry.

Like others I had no idea of his passing as there was no one to contact me. He was a great friend to me since 1968. After moving to Alabama we still stayed in touch. I surely miss his humor and friendship. So long buddy!
