John F. Mack, Jr. October 28, 1972 - October 3, 2022

Haverhill – John Mack, Jr., 49 of Haverhill passed away peacefully at home with his adoring family by his side on Monday, October 3, 2022.

Born prematurely on October 28, 1972, John surpassed all medical expectations by thriving throughout his entire life. Although too short, John lived an amazing life. John excelled in everything he put his mind and heart into. He was a competitor with the Special Olympics for many years while going to school. He won several ribbons and medals while having a great time. He was featured in the Haverhill Gazette for his accomplishments.

After graduation John went to work for Market Basket. He worked at the Centra Plaza location where he was a favorite of many customers and fellow employees. John retired from Market Basket after an illustrious 25 year career. He was an avid fan of video games. Upon his retiring from Market Basket he embarked on a new career. John became a gamer. Playing agains any and all who came his way. John will be missed by family, friends, and all who ever had the joy of meeting him.

John is survived by his loving sister Bonnie Mack, her son Sheldon, John’s doting nephew, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. John is predeceased by his father John Mack, Sr. and his mother Margaret ( Chaffee) Mack.

    We are so so very sorry for your families loss. John was such a special part of our lives growing up as one of my sisters’ childhood friends. We were so saddened to hear the news. Our family is thinking of you all at this time.
