Joyce B. Abbott (Leslie), 78, of Haverhill, died on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the Baker Katz Nursing Home in Haverhill.
Joyce was born in Haverhill on December 6, 1944 and was the daughter of the late William M. and Bernice (Bourque) Leslie.
Joyce was raised in Haverhill and attended Haverhill High School. After high school she worked for a laundry service company and a secretary for the recruiting office at Haverhill post office. She also worked as a home health care in Haverhill, Goodwill in Plaistow and drug store in North Andover and worked in customer service. She loved her family and enjoyed baking goodies, gardening and Wednesday nights get togethers with her girlfiends.
Joyce was the beloved wife of the late William Abbott. She was the loving mother of William Abbott, Jr. of San Diego, CA., Steven M. Abbott Sr., of Hastings, MI., Brian K. Abbott of Hampstead, NH., and Kevin Abbott of MI. She was the cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was the sister of Nancy Childers of FL., Ralph Leslie of OR., Fern Leslie and her wife Suzanne Sweeney of FL, Mark Leslie of FL., and Michael Leslie of FL. She was predeceased by Richard Abbott, William Leslie, David Leslie Joan Bourque, and Susan Leslie.
