Haverhill – Kathleen (Hilliard) Wasson, 69, passed away January 4, 2021 at Sutton Hill Healthcare in North Andover.
Born in Exeter, NH, she was the daughter of the late J. Stanton and Barbara (Lovett) Hilliard. She grew up in East Kingston, NH and attended Lin-Wood High School in Lincoln, NH, graduating in the class of 1970. She was the captain of her cheerleading squad. After graduation, Kathleen worked as a nursing tech in the operating room at Lowell Hospital. With her adventurous and free spirit she traveled to Nevada where she obtained her nursing degree from the University of Nevada, settling in Las Vegas. She excelled in her studies and was a beautiful and intelligent woman. Kathleen was an RN in the operating room at University Medical Center in Las Vegas for many years. She moved back to the Merrimack Valley area and settled in Haverhill for the past 20 years. Kathleen was an avid reader, loved to shop and was a crafter. Everyone she met loved her for her generous and giving spirit and she was very sociable. She loved her family and she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Kathleen is survived by her son, John Wasson of Seabrook, NH; sisters, Karen Wright of Englewood, OH; and Doreen Hilliard of Haverhill; brother John Paul Hilliard of Lady Lake, FL; grandchildren Mike Gosselin, Jr., Paige Wasson, Blake Wasson, Christopher Bennett and Cody Jones; great grandchildren Michael Gosselin and Kalianne Gosselin; stepmother Francene Hilliard of Campton, NH; uncle Russell Hilliard of Minneapolis, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Adele Wasson Gosselin and brother David Hilliard.
