PLAISTOW, NH — Kathryn M. Vencis, 85, of Plaistow, NH, died on Sunday, December 18, at the Holy Family hospital in Haverhill.
Kathryn was born on September 7, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Vitto C. and Grace E. (Pettengill) Vencis.
Kathryn was raised in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill high school, Class of 1955. After high school she graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC and later worked as the stage manager for the McCallum Theatre in California. She was also the secretary/ assistant to many well known movie stars including Doris Day, Arthur Godfrey, Mickey Rooney, Yule Brenner and several actors throughout her career. She was also an avid and highly ranked tennis player.
Kathryn was the loving sister of Judy Ordway and her husband Roger of Plaistow, NH, Brenda Meehan and her husband David of Kensington, NH She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother David B. Vencis.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, December 29 from 10:00 A.M. until11:00 A.M. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
