Lillian B. (Helma) Brennick July 27, 1930 - November 7, 2020

Haverhill – Lillian B. (Helma) Brennick, 90, wife of the late Kenneth L. Brennick passed away peacefully November 7, 2020 at Penacook Place in Haverhill.

Born in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Beatrice (McKenna) Helma. Lillian was a home maker most of her life, devoting herself to raising her children. She was a resident of the Merrivista in Haverhill for 27 years. In the 1960’s she was in real estate, owning two apartment buildings in Daytona Beach, FL. Lillian volunteered for over 27 years making teddy bears for children in traumatic situations. The bears were given out by the police, fire officers and EMTs in the Haverhill community. Known for her kind heart and strong disposition, she was a positive role model for people to remember to be loving, kind, forgiving and never giving up. This simple and positive outlook helped her to live to 90 years old. She devoted herself to raising her daughter and later with helping her grandchildren, lovingly known as Nana, nothing made her smile brighter than spending time with her beautiful grandchildren. Lillian will be missed by her family, friends and everyone whose lives she touched.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Arlene Halverstadt and her husband Jeffrey of Butler, NH; step daughter Deborah Boucher and her husband Mark of Quincy; step daughter Cheryl Wimberley and her husband Merrill of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Sarah Blackowski, Steven Williams, Hope and Chloe Halverstadt; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Kenneth, she was predeceased by her brother George Helma and sister Catherine Helma.

I will miss Lillian in my building .I had a special relationship with her all these years. She would come to my office to get her packages or after she had her hair done and we would have a nice talk. I’m happy she lived here all these years and she used to come to some of the parties we would have. I’m sorry I didn’t make the funeral because I was attending one of a co-workers that was going on at the same time. You have all my sympathy and prayers . Linda
