GEORGETOWN –Linda (Barnard) Leonard, 72, Widow of Leo J. Leonard, of Georgetown formerly of Haverhill passed away Monday, December 23 at the Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport.
Linda was born in Haverhill the daughter of Donald L. and Caroline E. (Warner) Barnard. She was educated in Haverhill Public Schools and worked as a van driver for special education students for the Haverhill Public School District. Linda was a previous member of the Improved Order of Redman, Degree of Pocahontas in Maine. She loved playing BINGO, taking vacations with her late husband and taking road trips to Las Vegas and South Carolina. She also enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, but most of all spending time with her loving family.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother she leaves her son Richard W. King, Jr. of Haverhill, her daughter Caroline R. King-Noiles and her husband Raymond D. Noiles, Jr. of Haverhill, her cherished grandchildren Jessica M. King and Richard W. King, III, and great grandchildren Dominic, Abagail and Angelina. She is also survived by her siblings Donna Parker, Lillian Stewart, Betty Myers all of Haverhill, Donald Barnard of Bridgeton, ME, and brother in law John Leonard of Malden, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins all of whom will miss her dearly.
She was predeceased by her husband Leo J. Leonard, and her parents Donald L. and Caroline E. (Warner) Barnard; as well as her sisters Marie (Barnard) LaFountain, Jane (Barnard) Hammer, Robert Barnard, Theodore Barnard, Winifred (Barnard) Hartford, Helen Taylor, Eleanor Ryan, her niece Robin LaFountain, and her children’s father Richard King, Sr.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to calling hours for Mrs. Leonard on Monday, December 30 at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 31 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
