Marion McCarthy, 84 September 4, 1938 - November 20, 2022

Haverhill – Marion McCarthy, (Eldridge), 84, of Haverhill was called to her eternal life Sunday, November 20, 2022 peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side.

Marion was born in Rochester, NH., on September 4, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Gagnon) LaBonte.

Marion was a Jill of all trades, She waitressed 20 years at Thompson’s restaurant while raising 3 children on her own. She was an auditor at ATT/Lucent, graduated from LaBaron’s hairdressing academy, achieved her real estate license, studied accounting at Northern Essex and owned and operated “a woman’s touch” wall papering business.

Marion could do anything she put her intelligent mind to, from making her own clothes to cutting down trees. She was a loving, caring strong woman who loved her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and mostly spending time at her lake house in Wolfsboro NH., many days were spent spent on Mirror Lake fishing on her pontoon boat.

Marion is predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, William McCarthy and her beautiful oldest daughter Terry-Lee Arsenault.

Marion leaves behind her children, Sharon Vezina, Lee Fitzgerald and his wife Debbie. She was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer Trull, Tara Fortin and Sheri Stylianopoulos. She was the great-grandmother of Devin Soucy, Bailey Soucy, Jayme Fortin and Makayla Stylianopouluos. She is also survived by her sweet dog Lady.

A Celebration of Life will be held next summer on Mirror Lake in Wolfeboro, NH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marion’s name to MSPCA, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844
