Michael David Mooney February 21, 1993 - November 18, 2019

Haverhill – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael David Mooney, 26, of Haverhill, MA on Monday, November 18, 2019.

Michael was born on February 21, 1993, beloved son of Greg and Babette Mooney. He attended Haverhill Elementary Schools and graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School, graduating in the Class of 2011. At the time of his passing, Michael was employed by Cassidy Brothers Forge of Rowley as a sandblaster and ornamental metal installer.

Michael enjoyed spending time with his loyal dog and best friend Billie who was always at his side. He also enjoyed concerts with his friends, the outdoors, and snowboarding, family vacations at the lake where he would turn his jet ski into a stunt vehicle and learning from, and besting, his father at trap shooting. Michael was a member of the Andover Sportsman Club and enjoyed shooting 3D archery.

Michael was very creative and artistic. Whether using clothing, metal or paint, he could turn anything into a piece of artwork. His room is adorned with his paintings and his latest project was designing and fabricating custom tables. He was a very special young man with an incredible loving heart and a kind soul. He will be missed each day.

In addition to his loving parents, Michael is survived by his sister, Anne Mooney and her husband Jared Raby of Danvers, his grandmother Angela Mooney of Middleton, girlfriend Laura Alartosky of Bradford and his aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents Henry Mooney of Middleton and Judith LeVasseur of Danvers.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, November 22nd from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 23rd beginning at 8:30AM at Crossroads Church, 43 Atwood Road, Pelham, NH. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Maple Street, Middleton, MA.     Dearest Greg and Babette,
    We heard the terrible news about Michael. We want to offer you guys our condolences and let you know that you are in our prayers. Words cannot express how sorry we are for your loss. Please know you and your entire family are in our constant thoughts.
    While the loss of ,Michael, a loved one is hard, even when anticipated, it is most certainly the hardest when he was taken from you too soon. Your loss of your son who at such a youthful age is definitely in the category of those hard losses for which there is so painful a reminder of what might have been.
