HAVERHILL – Michael R. Zangari, 76, of Haverhill passed away peacefully on Friday, September 22 at his home in Haverhill.

Michael was born in Haverhill on December 13, 1946, to Herbert R. and Lena B. (St. Laurent) Zangari. Michael was a member of Tilton Grammar School Drum and Bugle Corps, graduate of Haverhill High School,and a drummer with the Sons of Italy Marching Band in Haverhill. He studied at Fazio’s Cosmetology School and then went on to own and operate Hairstyles by Michael for many years. He also worked at Western Electric as a layout operator, retiring after 25 years. Michael enjoyed a competitive game of 45s, horse racing, bowling, watching football and other sports, coaching soccer while his kids were growing, Italian cooking, and traveling to Las Vegas, California, and Disney in Florida. Michael will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Michael is survived by his wife Paula (Kutsunakis) Zangari, of Haverhill, his sons Robert Francis Zangari, of Haverhill, Eric Michael Zangari and his partner Yoshie Ozone, of Sherman Oaks, CA, and Michael Francis Zangari and his wife Nicole, of Bradford. He also leaves behind his sisters Elizabeth Burns, of Haverhill, Delores Pacione, of Plaistow, NH, Lorraine Bilodeau,of Haverhill, Patricia O’Connell, of Haverhill, Carole Zangari, of Haverhill, and Cynthia Zangari, of Haverhill; his grandchildren Katelyn Zangari and Alana Forrester, and her husband Will; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Michael is predeceased by his brothers Herbert Zangari, Richard Zangari, and Ronald Zangari, and sisters Kathleen Noyes, Mary Anne Gucciardi, Pamela Zangari, and Constance David.

ARRANGEMENTS:  Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, September 29 from 10AM until 12PM, followed by a funeral home chapel service at 12PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers  memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.     My deepest condolences to Paula and Family. Back around 1975 we lived in the same apartment building on Greenleaf Terrace with Michael and Paula and will always remember the laughs and good times we enjoyed with them! RIP Michael!
